Unit 12 contains U.S. customary and metric measurement skills. Many vocabulary terms to be able to recognize. Study words on current vocab. list.

Beginning Unit 12 this week. Study of both customary and metric measuring systems. Uses benchmanrk example to define measurements. Parent letter coming home.

Unit 11 is more on angles. We are learning to use a protractor when measuring the degrees in an angle.

Division Unit 4 continues. Multiplication facts still need to be worked on.
November 12th
Unit 4 is on division. We will be working with a couple of different ways to solve division problems. As your child's parent, please be supportive of their attempts to master their division thinking skills.
November 5th
Unit 3 test will be this week. Unit 4 parent letter will come home on Tuesday. Unit 4 focuses on division facts, division with remainders. Homework nightly.
October 29th
Continuing unit 3 on multiplication of single/double digit numbers and various ways to calculate. Multiplication facts are a MUST!!! Homework on Monday and Tuesday only.
October 22nd
Unit 3 which covers double digit times double digit which makes it really beneficial to know your multiplication facts. If you don't, you need to study EVERY night until you pass them all off with me.
October 15th
We will continue on a daily basis with math homework on Monday and Tuesday nights. Unit 3 focuses on 2 digit times 2 digit multiplying. The students REALLY need to know their math facts!

Finishing up the Unit on 1 digit multipliers. Need to have mulitplication facts mostly memorized!!! If not, you need to do some serious practice.

We are continuing our investigations of methods to think about multiplication. Students need to be working hard on their multiplication facts.

We are into unit 2 and working on multiplication. Be practicing those multiplication facts you don't know yet...timed tests daily. Homework nightly except on Thursday.

We are beginning Unit 2 which is all about multiplication. Study your facts every day with your triangles, on the computer or with other flashcards.
